Flitto is a combined translation platform supporting 25 languages* and provides the following services:
(*Supported languages: Korean, English, Simplified/Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Dutch, Swedish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Czech, Turkish, Malay, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Arabic, Thai, Filipino, Hindi, Swahili, and Finnish)
1. AI translation
AI translation automatically provides translations to an input text to a target language right on the main page.
While only text can be translated on the website, even images and voices can be translated when using the app.
In addition, if the requested translation happens to be similar to what the Flitto Crowdsourced Translation database contains, it will be shown at the bottom as "similar translations."
If you ever find the AI translation lacking, you can also request Crowdsourced Translation, which is done by real translators.
2. Crowdsourced Translation/Proofreading
Requesting the service: When you request the crowdsourced project service, every user registered on Flitto can participate in it, which will result in fast translation/proofreading.
However, since your request will make the entire content visible to other users, we recommend using this service only for simple and short sentences or something public.
You need points to request this service, which are given to the translator/proofreader that you've selected for doing the best job.
You can purchase points from the Flitto website or app, and it is also possible to use the points that you got from participating in the service.
Participating in the service: No matter the fluency in the chosen language, every user can participate in crowdsourced projects.
In the case of native languages, users can also participate in proofreading projects.
When your translation/proofreading is chosen as the most suitable, you can receive points.
To learn more about using points, check "What can I buy on the store?" article.
3. 1:1 Pro Translation/Proofreading
Requesting the service: Only users and companies that have been registered as professional translators/proofreaders can participate in this professional service.
In other words, it ensures both secrecy and consistency of the requested product.
This service is only available on PC while the app simply allows you to chat with your matched translator/proofreader.
Moreover, unlike the crowdsourced services, it is not possible to use points and each request needs to be paid for separately.
Participating in the service: Only those who have been registered as professional translators/proofreaders can participate in these projects.
To learn more about the requirements, check "I'd like the participate in 1:1 Pro Translation/Proofreading projects." article.
4. Arcade
The Arcade service exists to establish CORPUS data by collecting sentences and giving out points in return.
At the moment, translation and dialogue examples are provided for each language as well as including the proofreading done by other users for both sections.
You can use points once the final proofreading is completed. To learn more about using points, check "What can I buy on the store?" article.
