Our content policy is as follows:
Using machine translation (including partial editing afterward)
Using machine translation ends up providing the requester's original data to the service provider, leading to the violation of the translator's obligation to copyright and secrecy.
It is also considered as a form of plagiarism since it is completely unrelated to the translator's own abilities.
As a result, once your usage of machine translation is discovered, you will lose your privilege as a professional translator/proofreader at all circumstances.
Requesting and/or providing contact information such as phone numbers, email addresses, social media accounts and Google Drive addresses while using the 1:1 Pro Translation service.
In accordance with our professional translation policy, requesting and/or providing contact information such as phone numbers, email addresses, social media accounts and Google Drive addresses or contacting the requester using an alternate means other than Flitto is forbidden to prevent the translation from occurring outside Flitto as well as to keep the personal data safe.
If you choose to contact the requester by requesting and/or providing your contact information or by using an alternate means other than Flitto, we cannot help you.
Translator/Proofreader using the original for other uses than translating/proofreading or letting the unrelated party know about it without first asking for consent while using the 1:1 Pro Translation service
The original is the personal asset of the requester and you cannot use it for purposes other than for translating/proofreading.
This rule is in place even when you delete your Flitto account or no longer participate in the projects.
Translator/Proofreader stopping the work without first consulting the requester or asking for more time to work on the project while using the 1:1 Pro Translation service
Action will be taken against you if you, as a translator/proofreader, choose to stop the work without first consulting the requester or fail to complete the work in time.
Being punctual is directly related to the trust that the requester puts in you and Flitto while failure to do so may also cause the requester financial damage and inconvenience.
This is why you, as a translator, must make sure to see if you can truly finish the job in time before accepting it.
If you need more time to finish the project, you should ask to have the deadline delayed before suggesting your price. If you fail to do so and then ask for more time without first consulting the requester, it can be problematic.
Translator/Proofreader submitting an inappropriate estimate than is reasonably expected from the amount and content of the original while using the 1:1 Pro Translation service
You as a translator/proofreader have the obligation to submit an estimate after carefully considering the original and the deadline.
In other words, an action will be taken against you if you submit an estimate that asks for too low a price compared to the amount of the original or if you set the deadline as much too earlier than is reasonable.
In addition to the actions mentioned above, the monitoring team is authorized to take appropriate actions depending on the circumstances.
Make sure to carefully read the rules and agree to them before registering yourself as a professional translator.
