Propose a reasonable estimate

If your estimated price is too low for the work volume, it might be misconceived as an error from not properly reflecting the request, resulting in degraded trust in the translator/proofreader.

An excessively high estimate will have low probability of matching.

Grounds for calculating estimate

Oftentimes, requesters have a tendency of determining a proper level of costs based on the estimates that they receive from Flitto rather than the average price in the professional translation/proofreading market.

Therefore, even if your submitted estimate reflect the market average, if there are translators/proofreaders that submitted lower estimates, your estimate can look relatively pricey.
When submitting your estimate, a break down of your estimate as per below can help requesters understand your grounds for calculation.

Timely quoting

1:1 Pro Translation: Requesters' deadline for payment is two hours upon the receipt of an estimate. The request is canceled unless payment has been made within two hours, so timely submission of your estimate is crucial.

1:1 Pro Proofreading: Requesters' deadline for payment is two-thirds of the time limit set by the requester. The tighter the deadline of a project, it is advisable to submit your estimate as fast as possible.

* When sending your estimate, carefully check the deadline and decide whether you can finish translation/proofreading on time, then submit your estimate.
* Should you desire a different completion date from the preset deadline, you can send your estimate by entering a new deadline through [Extend Deadline] button.
* If you've sent an estimate without carefully checking the source file and give up on your translation/proofreading project after having matched with a requester, you may be subjected to penalty, so please carefully check the source file before submitting your estimate.
* Please check your estimate carefully since it cannot be changed once sent.
